  1. Quilters

    The Junction City Little Theater production of Quilters, written by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek, is a musical theatre tribute to the women and men who made the dangerous trek across the prairie on their way to the promise of a new life. Piece by piece, Quilters seams together the lives of our pioneer heritage into a legacy quilt of those who lived before us on the Great Plains, celebrating their dignity, creativity, faith, and steadfast courage. Carolyn Mayo, Director and Mary Louise Stahl, Music Director.

  2. Celebrating Past Times

    April 25, 10:00 AM - April 26, 2:00 PM @ Spring Valley Historic Site K-18 & Spring Valley Rd. Junction City, KS 66441

    Join us on Saturday at the Spring Valley Historic Site for hands on activities, including races, basket weaving, one-room schoolhouse fun, laundry, wood chopping and sawing, and a Civil War Encampment with some horses! Also on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., we'll have the St. Joseph's Historic Church & Cemetery open and will have people on hand to discuss the church's history, restoration, and hopefully a small Cemetery Tour. On Sunday, at the Museum, see our new 1950s exhibit and Classic Car Show! The Starcke House will also be open for tours. Refreshments will be available. Fun for all ages!

  3. Classic Car Show

    April 26, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Geary County Historical Museum 530 N. Adams St. Junction City, KS 66441

    As part of the "Celebrating Past Times" weekend, on Sunday the Geary County Historical Society will hold its 1st Annual Classic Car Show! Classic cars from 1960 and before will be on display. The new 1950s exhibit is also on display in the Museum's auditorium. There will be activities for kids - both inside and out, Armour-Swift sausages, popcorn, brownies & cookies for purchase (proceeds go to the Museum). If you want to show a car please contact Sarah or Meg at the museum, entry fee is a donation to the museum at the discretion of the owner. Cars arrive at 12:00 p.m.

  4. Brown Bag Concert

    April 29, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Heritage Park 6th & Washington St Junction City, KS

    Free "Concert in the Park" from the great kids at USD 475! Student musicians will perform lunchtime concerts in Heritage Park. So grab a bag lunch and enjoy orchestras and choirs during your lunch break.
