  1. Pumpkin Decorating Contest @ Dorothy Bramlage Public Library

    Do you love Pumpkins? Do you love painting? If you do, this contest is for you! Enter the Pumpkin Decorating Contest, have your pumpkin proclaimed Best Decorated and win a prize! Participants must provide their own small, medium, or large pumpkin. Pumpkins must be painted, not carved, and painted in a family friendly manner. There will be one winner from each of four pumpkin decorating contest groups: PreK, grades K-5th, grades 6th-12th, and adults. All registration fees go to the library’s book donation program, DBPL at DBPL: Donating Books to Promote Literacy. This program puts new books in the hands of members of the Geary County community to encourage reading and thereby to support literacy and strengthen our community.

  2. All Treats Day

    October 24, 2019, 5:15 PM - 7:00 PM @ Downtown Junction City

    The parade of costumed children forms at the corner of 9th & Washington St. at 5:15 p.m. then marches down to 6th St. preceded by the JCHS Marching Band. The downtown businesses then pass out candy and treats to the children. Kids of all ages and parents are welcome to be in the Costume Parade, just show up! Afterwards, children can enjoy games and candy at the 12th Street Community Center located at 1002 W. 12th St. Sponsored by the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce and the 12th Street Community Center.
